Scope and Criteria: The AM database includes materials focused on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) topics that are produced by U.S. Federal Government and state government sources, and selected journal articles on health promotion and education materials pertinent to complementary and alternative medicine (i.e. references to fact sheets, journal articles, newsletters and newsletter articles, directories, brochures and pamphlets, bibliographies, monographs, reports). The criteria for selected materials reflect current scientific and medical knowledge about CAM.
